Reassurance

Finger to lips as if to “shush” the viewer of all the chatter within. This is not an arrogant, commanding hush, implying, “Stop, you’re bothering me”. Rather a calm, loving sh-- that soothes the soul. Saying, “Let it go, I’m in control”.

I'm working on his hand--not long and this painting will be completed. I'll post it soon. Lorna

Eyes of Love

His eyes, the eyes of peace. “Peace be still”, Jesus commanded the storm…and it was so. In our lives when we say “Lord I give it up to you”, do we really? Then why are we still carrying that burden… letting it weigh us down—let it go. I just know when I look into these eyes they are full of kindness…they take me to a place of peace that passes understanding. Echoed by the gentle waves, gentleness reflects from his eyes…for these are eyes of love.

For those of you who are joining my Blog: what I’m doing is sharing the progression of my paintings—the visions the Lord gives to me put on canvas. That’s why my paintings are called “Revelation Art". Because they are revealed to me through revelation, I reveal them to you thus giving the viewer revelation.

Sharing the Progression

I’ve been painting on a piece for some time…untitled so far that I just love. One of the interesting things about it is the overall “gentleness” one feels as the viewer. When the Lord gave me this image I wasn’t sure what was to be in the background, however as I painted it became obvious it was to be the sea with gentle waves. Which works out just perfect because water is always calming to one’s soul. Whether the Sea of Galilee or the Mediterrainean, I’m not sure…I don’t think that is so important as the visual calming effect it produces.
